I've foolishly upgraded from Ubuntu Intrepid to Jaunty and, as usual, wifi's stopped working. "wlan0: disassociating by local choice (reason=3)" — what are these reasons, and where are they documented? This is an Intel iwl3945, an appallingly standard wifi adapter that should Just Work. At least my earlier network problems appear fixed.

The Stranglers' Black & White has brilliant music and the most appallingly misogynist lyrics. I was going "WHAT. WHAT." Obtained from secretlondon, who's just the socialist feminist I'd not expect to have several Stranglers albums. At least it's a good record. Highly recommended if you can ignore the words.

Wireless sodomy sans lube is a right of passage with each iteration of Ubuntu. If you hit the Ibex forums from September of last year, you'll see a ton of the same exact thing which went away when some NM patch crap came down.
