2010 was ehh okay. It's fine, y'know.

I learnt nothing new from visiting Perth in March except that I learnt nothing new from it. That counts. "Wow, you ... haven't changed."

I work a job and it's actually going pretty well. [personal profile] arkady's been unwell, so it's just as well I can work from home pretty much any time I feel like. This has made going into the office something I do to get things done. "It's 9am Monday, wish I was at work right now" is not a normal thought to have, think it as I did at times.

I have been progressively working at giving less and less of a shit. Frankly, I get more done and better the less importance I give it. Wanting to save the world is not a productive pattern for me — if something isn't an amusement, it's not going to be done well.

The actual important thing I do that I care about is raising Freda. It's really very good, you know.

We just got back from Perth and found that whilst you're right about it not changing, at the same time there is this bizarre changing of the roads!

Roads that were one way are now two way - and vice versa. Straight roads now have roundabouts. Short roads are now long - and vice versa. And my favourite - a straight road is now wiggly waggly for no good reason that I could see (did they want to slow the traffic? There are other ways of doing that). It's like the city is run by traffic engineers.

Well, damn, all my obsession with the French New Wave films of the 50s/60s means that I really don't keep up with what is current, eh?
