After a month clear, arkady was struck down by another migraine on Friday evening and has been good for not much since. So it's been a rather fraught weekend, with Freda being utterly exhausting (when Mum is ill she plays up, obviously because her world has something wrong). I'm back at work Wednesday.

Freda, meanwhile, is still cute:

Are they getting worse? Do the pills do nothing?

My knowledge in the area is limited, but I know my mother's migranes have become more controllable since she started taking that $50 per dose pill that came out a few years back.

She is very cute, knows it and uses it. I have previously noted that she's all set to become the next Dark Lord. She likes pictures of herself.

The various triptans do little to nothing. The migraines suddenly disappeared entirely after the dental operation, which is why their return is so upsetting. When she's able to do anything she'll be seeking further medical opinion, since there's now new data.

That's an interesting data point. Migraines are such a non-specific symptom as it is, but I can't help but wonder why dental work might have put them off for a while.

I've had two in my life, a long time ago, and I wouldn't wish them on anyone.

Our hypothesis is there's lots of nerves in the skull and the wrong one was under pressure. And that the dental op relieved some pressure, but with the socket it's under healing (whichever one that was) it's back under pressure. This is pure hypothesis, I must note.

Oh, and Freda's older sisters, who she idolises, are girly girls who dress up a lot, so Freda wants to dress up and look pretty too. She does insist on playing with footballs and trucks as well, of course.

Oh, your Gaga causality is backwards: Lady Gaga literally dresses like a four-year-old given open slather on the dressup box. She gets away with it by also being an accomplished songwriter, but it's by no means a prerequisite.
