I'm sure there are scads of usability studies showing that the new scrollbars in Ubuntu 11.04 "Venereal Vista" are the best thing ever for absolutely everyone. So here's how to switch them back to the old style. Open a terminal and enter:

sudo -s

Then:

echo "export LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0" > /etc/X11/Xsession.d/80overlayscrollbars

Then log out and log back in.

Gah! Exodus probably didn't happen but I can't stand to read your lousy reasoning.

1) Read the wikipedia article on "The Dorian Invasion" and then see if you can still convincingly claim "Woo... real suspicious... lots of people... no record." A historic event of huge significance at extremely roughly the same time period (cultural replacement of southern greece as it became a world power) and there's no historic agreement on if it was invasion, settlement or gradual decline. Read that thoroughly and then go "Woo... bit suspicious there's no record of quite a few frogs and locusts."

2) The "bang your head on the wall" stupidity of your circular reasoning "it can't have happened because they say there was 600,000 people who moved from A to B" but 600,000 people would leave a huge trace therefore they're lying that people moved from A to B. You rule that the exodus didn't happen because of a figure for the scale of it you've taken from the very source you don't believe. Did no alarm bell go off in your head at that point saying "I've moved from rationality into the twilight zone here".

3) The article is 25% by weight countering a "single lone lunatic" (Ron Wyatt). Classic strawman stuff.

I hate this article because I agree with your conclusions (it probably didn't happen) but I think it makes you (and by extension people who agree with you) seem like loons.
