Cypherpunk, ten years too late.

I have set up GPG at long last. I have a PRIVATE KEY! I am CYPHERPUNK-ENABLED! I can ENCRYPT my IMPORTANT COMMUNICATIONS! (Never mind that most are broadcast material.) The MAN can't TOUCH ME ANY MORE! (Regulation of Investigatory Powers act notwithstanding.) I will put a link to said key here when I have more of a clue what I'm doing. Nevertheless, it should go a treat with my RSA Security "It's Only An Algorithm" T-shirt - the difference between a wearable munition and an 'oh-fuck-we've-lost-our-patent' marketing exercise also apparently being ten years.

I am very impressed by how easy it is to set up gpg with mutt (the command-line mail client of choice for those not geeky enough to use emacs or mh). It goes something like this:

  1. Set up gpg and make yourself a key.
  2. That's it. mutt can tell there's gpg and a key there. It Just Works.

I was supposed to go to the party at Kake's this evening - my plan being to leave work at six, get home at seven, leave again around eight and arrive around nine-thirty, ready to leave tomorrow morning and spend my Saturday imitating a headless chook. This, however, assumes a functioning public transport system. (Travelling anywhere at all in London is enough like wading through treacle when everything is working properly.) Please pass on my apologies and sloppy kisses to all.

ObSNOW!!!: This morning, [livejournal.com profile] ewtikins made a snow angel in the back yard.

Snow angel (left), Ewt (right). Wish I'd gotten the shot of her making it. I think she's missing some things about Canada. Her entry has the snow angel outlined.

I'm pretty sure there's some references in Haujobb's Solution for a small planet, but that's '98, so somewhat after the time period you're looking for. Plus it doesn't screeching guitars or distorted voices. But there is a saxophone in one track?
