• Even several of my co-workers are going on Saturday. The government has actually succeeded in pissing off the otherwise-complacent British middle classes. The tanks at Heathrow appear to have been the last straw.

• "Police have not ruled out troops being deployed in the centre of London at a later date." I submit that showing up on Saturday (Friday for our Melbourne readers) is actually quite important.
