The neighbours were whisper-quiet last night. Here's to the night before having been a one-off.

Tonight is the frantic Whitby preparation. Packing, preening, doing each other's hair ... We will be leaving King's Cross at 11am and (in an ideal world) arriving some time before sixish. Going home Tuesday lunchtime. Be sure to come and play with redcountess lots, she's still ill and exhausted from the move. We're next to the abbey steps again.

excy's camera is remarkably better than mine, and is pretty much what I wanted in a digital camera. Dammit.

When we get back, we might even have Internet from home, and redcountess will be back online.

no it is quite nice and ickle and stuff... hurrah. wonder if the 3mpixel version is any better, or is just the same but with 3mp boys?

It's that it does almost everything mine does (the optical zoom is 2x rather than 3x, but so what) and is SO DAMN TINY!

BTW, I have secured a power cable for the charger :-)

yeah, I got it 'cos it was neat and small, anything bigger and I wouldn't be bothered carrying it around :/ + it's metal and 'ard, not flimsy plastic.

What time are you intending to reach King's Cross? I shall probably be setting off from home at about 10am, to allow for any last-minute disasters on the Piccadilly Line.

I have been truly sad and programmed in reminders on my phone for 10 minutes before each train is due to arrive at its destination, to forestall the inevitable feeling of "Are we there yet??" - heh! Have also established that on the train from King's Cross I shall be in a rear-facing seat, which is actually a bit pants but can't be helped. I suspect I shall be seated some distance from yourself and Liz, too. Still, it's a nonsmoking carriage and it's only for 2 hours and 22 minutes....

It's an Ixus V or similar, isn't it?
Mine is an Ixus 300 / Canon S300 / whatever - the two megapixel, 3x zoom one. It's sweet, and I picked it for many of the same reasons excy states, and also that the CCD sensitivity is good (much better than, say, a Cybershot).
