• Ali Tube Poi, Tue 25 Feb 2003 - ali_anarres testing the headroom in London Bridge station (Northern Line northbound platform) after technomentalist pints. No flash, that's entirely with Tube fluorescent lighting. Warning: this page is huge.

• Arkady down the Dev, Wed 23 Apr 2003 - we were down the pub, arkady had just redone her fringe and, of course, I had a camera! For one more day.

No, we didn't make Exit Club. Bah. Quiet night in of eating, housework, computer shifting and house stuff. Was very nice, though.

the answer to "why the camera did ghost images" is because of the mode you were using. if you're on night vision mode, it will write one main version of the image onto the picture with the first, bright flash, and then there's another second or two of exposure, which in certain lighting conditions, will write a second, softer echo simply from the extended natural light,
it's one of my favourite modes, but i prefer to set it manually. rawrr...

I experimented with photographing the tracks the other day (Kings Cross, Picadilly Line Northbound) to see how well I did without the flash. Answer: not too bad. Kitty pointed at part of the photo this morning and asked if it might be a tube mouse I caught by accident. I think it's probably just some bit of track equipement, but see what you think...

Ooh, good question. If you set the camera to simulate ISO 400 or faster, you will get better shots. I understand corsetboy's beast even has the option to upload the image exactly as seen by the CCD.
