A present for [livejournal.com profile] ali_anarres, based on this set of photos:

[Ali with poi animated GIF for LJ icon - 35KB]

There's also a 300x300 version (411KB), but it tends to induce vertigo.

I told the Gimp to put 300ms between frames, but it doesn't seem to have set it correctly; a fixed version would be most welcome. (Open-source tools that get this right?)

It looks like she's doing poi in an earthquake... what a frightening concept ;-)

Why do I ever doubt you?

Oh yes. That was what I was intending to buy this week - a tripod for the camera....

I'm still too nervous and self-conscious to poi on Tube platforms! Hee!

That is quite silly and very scary. Thank you.

Why is the man in the background headbutting the wall?

and the bigger version (http://james.is.never.wrong.nu/images/alipoi-doctored-300.gif). No idea why your Gimp didn't do it properly, mine worked fine. My 300x300 version is also 25% smaller than yours, oddly.

Your frames are called Frame n (100ms) (combine), which I think Gimp uses as a hint to the gif exporter that has a higher precendence than the setting on the menu. Did you try exporting them at 100ms first?
