Thunderbird is a bit fat and slow and 0.2 (and the lead programmer thinks in Win32), but it's getting rather good at the spam-gobbling, dears. There's also a source tarball available, which should mean an official FreeBSD port in the near future.

Tuesday I visited St. Albans without major citywide electrical failure. We drank a *pint* each and feasted upon Red Raw Meat. With mushrooms. May I just say that I love [livejournal.com profile] arkady so very much indeed.

Today I accompanied [livejournal.com profile] redcountess to her appointment at the Louise Cootes Lupus Clinic at St Thomas Hospital. A world-class lupus clinic, in our city! A good morning out on a lovely sunny day. Even if the walk back to Waterloo did exhaust her. I love [livejournal.com profile] redcountess remarkably much as well.

Followed this with an afternoon at work. They managed to pack eight hours' pounding bat sodomy into four. And a half, as I didn't get away until 6:30. Grr. Argh. $3000 Sun video cards are fun, but.

Couples who hooked up at our wedding are not allowed to break up nearly yet. Patch it up.

Yesterday we got our first ever AOL CD in the post. (Not in a tin). Currently doing coaster duty for Liz.

[I love finding the absolutely perfect Severed Heads lyric for a subject line.]

Before you know it you'll have a houseful of them and you'll wonder what you did without them! Remember though, an AOL CD is a huge responsibility... you need to be very careful not to get them mixed up with other CDs, they're very special and they need an awful lot of atention to make sure they don't get into any trouble ;)

Hehe, they'd be brilliant for that!
"An AOL CD - not just for coasters... for life!".

And I love you more than words could possibly express. Seeing you was the one bright spark in a very miserable and lonely week.

Did you know if you d/l that thunderbird source tarball, and do a mere ./configure && gmake it builds the whole of fucking mozilla? Oy.

I was grousing about the absurdity of posting a "thunderbird" source, since it's really mozilla with some special invocation. Same with firebird. I read a how-to on building that, long ago, and can't find it. Be nice if I could find spoilers for thunderbird too.
