A domestic week in, featuring visits from
arkady and
erzibet. Dinner involved at various points tuna pasta, chili con
carne
and pasta with mushrooms in cream. This evening's involved excellent sausages and
mediocre mash. Must do better.
ruthi and Cookie came over late in the evening and fed us
scones!
I love
redcountess and
arkady very much
indeed.

Those articles are so totally outrageous it hurts. It goes right along with the above, of course, and along with the only topic I've been posting to my own journal about for the past day or two.
I have no problem with religion. I don't really even necessarily have a problem with religion being a part of government, in an objective way, as long as I don't live in that country. I have a very serious problem with the US, though: hipocrisy. At the moment, this happens to manifest itself in facism, but that's only because the stuff available for the US to be hypocritical about is rather specifically anti-facist.
The more of this shit pops up, the more I just want to break down and weep. And not because any of it's a surprise, but because I saw it coming, I said it was coming, and just about everyone I know agreed with me. But that didn't stop it from coming. Apparently, a majority of the people living in the same country I do think that this is Right somehow. What is wrong with this picture? Oh, I'll tell you what's wrong: EVERYFUCKINGTHING.
It's apparently not all that reliable, unless this is the joke
