The idea of LJ via SMS appals me. But so does SMS in general, and it's what most of my phone money goes on. So I may update from Whitby.

(Presumably nadnad has implemented this so as to upset those not going to Wh*tby every time they look at their friends page.)

Which is my dread although most of the people I know whinge about the lack of signal.....one can only hope. I'm already sick of folk posting 10 posts each a day on the subject of packing alone !

I'd have gone if I could have afforded to take on more debt and the extra stress it would bring but *sigh* never mind.

actually I did it because:

a) it was better than doing any REAL work
b) I've been in love with SMS for years (since about 1995), I'm physically sickened by what it has become
c) I wanted people with old phones or those who don't have GPRS to be able to update :)

Now if only I could get the fucking box to stay up longer than 12 hours :/

I find the entire concept of sending text with a phone to be avoided, lest my brain explode. I'm just an old fart that way.

If your phone does WAP, then http://wap.ubique.ch/wapblogger/index.wml allows you to update your LJ that way as well.
