Fisting the chook.

We got up at 10:30am to open presents. redcountess got Discworld Noir, a Johnny Cash 2004 calendar and The Cat With The Really Big Head by Roman Dirge from me, a set of watercolour pencils from Arkady and Bravemouth by Pamela Stephenson, a pair of earrings and three RSPCA Australian wildlife pens from her mother. arkady got a pair of dream-catcher earrings (in case dreams leak out her ears) and Revenge of the Fillerbunny by Jhonen Vasquez from me and Breakfast at Tiffany's from Liz. I got a Gil Elvgren pinups calendar and Mainlines, Blood Freaks and Bad Taste by Lester Bangs from Liz, Talking Cock by Richard Herring from Arkady and a matt black silk tie from Liz's mother. Liz and I got a couple of Australian wildlife tea towels from her mother.

arkady and I (mostly her) have prepared dinner for the roasting, stuffed the chook and put it in the oven. redcountess and arkady are watching My Fair Lady on telly. I can't get through to Australia on the phone.

Liz is still ill, but other than that it's been a pretty good Christmas so far.

Update, 5:32pm: Fuck we've eaten a lot. Pudding still to come. Oh God.
