Still ill, though I don't think I need to be killed any more. redcountess is unwell again too, and it's too cold for arkady to leave the house without having an asthma attack. (St. Albans: what happens when Heck does freeze over.) Hence our lack of attendance at squiddity's or incy's and our apologies.

I have three inhalers (Ventolin, Becotide and Flixotide) and a nasal spray (Nasonex) in front of me. They are all steroids. My throat is feeling the effects.

It's not as if I'll even get muscles like beach balls out of the process. On the other hand, I won't get testicles like raisins.

Ventolin's a bronchodilator. My consultant (there's posh) told me to gargle after using becotide so it doesn't coat the throat. You might be better off with a Diskhaler - it's the same drug, but breath-actuated instead of aerosol. I much prefer it because I suspect the aerosol in inhalers actually aggravates my chest!

Your consultant is quite correct - I am in fact paying the price of being lazy. Insofar as gasping for air and trying to breathe clearly counts. Bloody flu.
