I was at the Richard Stallman meeting the other week and there were people representing two of the Political parties there; one was against Software Patenting (as am I), the other blustered about wanting to know more before he decided on anything (which, as a candidate, didn't inspire me or anyone else to vote for him).

Whilst I can't speak for my current MEP and lead candidate (We swap Xmas cards but only meet up and chat occasionally) I am aware that my party's policy on this matter is good, and will ensure when I next see her as part of congratulating her on her re-election I shall ensure she is up to speed on SP matters.

yes, sadly I am aware of this. They did apologise afterwards stating that the motion had been misread as to which way was in favour or against...

kicking arses can be fun ;-)
