Some new laptop batteries arrived this morning. I'll be charging and testing them over the next few days. Anyone still after a Thinkpad 560X?

This evening I am going from work to the Dev to meet with ashbet and cavalorn. Cav's brother's band is playing this evening ... in Walthamstow! (Standard Tavern, directly opposite Blackhorse Road tube — just down the road from arkady.) I will be at the Dev from six till seven, all others will be leaving the Dev in time for the gig at 9:30pm. redcountess will be aiming to come out to the gig as well if not utterly *splat*.

This is fairly small values of laptop, but appropriately cheap ones (80 quid the laptop, 20 quid for a 70-minute battery, 30-40ish for a 3-hour new battery if they're in order). See previous laptoppy posts for detail, email dgerard at gmail for detailed specs. IBM Thinkpad 560X, model 2640-700.

Sorry to be cheaky, but could you possibly give ashbet a message for me? I'm meant to be meating up with her tonight, and I'm not feeling too well, and I don;t think I'm going to make it. I don't want to just stand her up without warning, although I know she's going with a bunch of folks including your good self to the gig, but I've no contact number for her in London and I think she's done her net-cafe-ness for the day. Just let her know and tell her sorry? Thank you.
