Brompton Road, Knightsbridge is the home of shops of horrifying fashionability. People with far too much money they didn't earn spend fortunes on the latest tat. Why do they all look so bloody awful in it? It's an ongoing joke - in which the shops are the japesters, they are the butts and watching it is like an endless low-grade American sitcom whose plot consists entirely of fifteen minutes' build-up to a pratfall. Not even eye-NutraSweet. I've been spending too much time around people who can dress properly. Or not enough.
