buh. zzz. Off work again today. (Picture £££ taking wing and flying off into the sunset.) Taking opportunity to visit doctor for several grossly overdue reviews, one of which they actually included a nag letter about with my last prescription refill. quiet000001 has cancelled for tonight, as her body decided staying awake all night in pain was a much better idea than going out. I might have time today to get the house to suck less. British Gas might actually show up today (why is it I have no faith in this?) and might actually get things so we can turn on the boiler. Cats doing fine. Must buy dishwasher salt.

INTRAVENOUS CAFFEINE. NOW.

redcountess and quiet000001 are despooned, so won't be coming tonight. However, I will have the pleasure of accompanying arkady and ruthi to B-Movie. I also managed to find Djarums at the local tobacconist, so got some Djarum Reds. (Pissweak! Only 10mg! Hopefully with less of that wonderful ashtray-licking aftertaste.)

The boiler is working, so we have HEAT! The British Gas guy checked it thoroughly and established it was in perfect working order, so we just need a new CO detector. The dishwasher is still not working. The user manual used to be online but doesn't seem to be any more; it's a Bosch SKT5002GB, if anyone has leads or ideas.

And now to tart up and party!
