Oh, the Utopian night on the brink.
Jul. 1st, 2006 04:44 pmCurrent music: Epic Soundtracks' collected postmortem leftovers album, Everything Is Temporary, bought from eMusic. Damn this is fine.
Pretty much missed Crimson Altar due to running way late and being crap. Sorry missykittykat. I also forgot my Howl's Moving Nightclub handbill so had to phone
redcountess for directions from London Bridge to SE One. Doin' great!
SE One is a nightclub for stupid people with too much money that lives under a bridge. Entry was five quid as usual but the drink prices were on crack. I drank Rolling Rock at £3.50 a bottle, vodka and Red Bull was seven goatfucking quid. The toilets have a most helpful attendant who you are meant to tip. The dancefloors are carpeted, which only makes sense in terms of helping airheaded sticks in spike heels who can't dance not fall over. So that's the goths taken care of. The hideously sweaty weather didn't help.
I'm down on the venue and it made the night seem less fun than, thinking back, it actually was. I had a most wonderful time hanging out with eyeliner297 and
flickgc all evening and
natassja13 for much of it. They made my evening fundamentally not suck. And many others who I won't attempt to list as I will forget one or two.
The Ixus 50 got quite the workout. It was Front-Fill Flash evening, so the shots are bright red and blurry with a focused face in the middle. godgirl even got a ( half-decent shot of me! )
I left when it shut at 3:30am and walked all the way to Angel for my bus, accompanied by Clive, who was doing the same walk all the way to King's Cross. ( Of course I got pics. )
I got home at 5:30, fed the cats and fell over. Woke up at 1pm with the Hayfever from Hell. My mouth tastes like a carpeted dancefloor.
