I appear to be a Wikipedia arbitrator as of January 1st. MUWAHAHAHAHA.

Apparently, we're not allowed to actually hang fuckheads. How very annoying.

I'll have to give it all more thorough investigation. This is the offending entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_English) and I've not changed it.

How do you add something to the discussion page?

A few people have already pointed out that the article is 75% horseshit.

You click on edit and add your piece, much the same as when editing the main page.

Ahhh thank you. It was in the same place as for the article so I thought 'Edit this page' referred to editing the article.

Have you signed up for an account? If so, at the end of your entry on the talk page type ~~~~ - the saved talk page will then append your name and the time/date of your entry. Otherwise, it will just add your IP address. Wikipedians prefer dealing with names rather than numbers though. ;-)

I've just tried to, but the database is locked at the moment. I'll try again later.

What they're doing is comparing English spoken by people for whom it is their 2nd, 3rd or even 4th language and calling it a dialect, which it's not. It's a bit like having 'French English' or 'German English' and listing the errors made by people who don't speak it as their first language.

Apart from a few of the words listed there, which have a different meaning, the majority of words they've listed are pure slang and not used by the majority of English speakers there and that's like saying what Ali G talks is 'British English'.
