Zen ADSL help needed.

We tried plugging in the DSL modem and logging in to our account as per the details given. The modem is now convinced it's logged in and has the IP they said they'd be giving us (though the DNS is not what they gave us), but we have nothing resembling data flow. The order status is still "Waiting for activation/installation - IN PROGRESS FOR 6 DAYS".

All you Zen users: is this what we should be seeing if it's not activated? A connection apparently up in every way except with data flowing?

Its been a while, but AFAIR if you can successfully log in then stuff should work. You can do a test by using the username "bt_test@startup_domain" with a null password; from there you can browse to a single site: http://www.bt.net/digitaldemo

To be honest, if the order still thinks that its waiting for activation then its probably not going to work yet.

Been so long I can't properly recall but I do recall the "Waiting for activation/installation - IN PROGRESS FOR 6 DAYS" involved something that looked frustratingly like it was a connection but it wasn't really.

Have Zen actually told you its live yet?

They're normally quite good if you phone them up and act bewildered at them, tho I think they only offer support on a subset of routers/modems.
