My record collection is now at ozjester's and waiting to be shipped here. Three to four cubic metres, so fuck knows where I'll put it, since we don't have room in this house for the stuff we have already. But anyway. Today's question is: Who is good to ship stuff internationally with? I have already been warned off Pickford's, given their noted propensity for stealing losing stuff. I will happily pay for reliability.

My other brother Tony has just spawned yet again. Groucho Marx to woman with 17 kids: "Why so many?" Woman: "Well, I just love my husband." Groucho: "Well, I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth once in a while."

arkady is off in Wales for a couple of weeks visiting the kids, so redcountess and I are having a very quiet time in. Although we do have various expeditions planned.

I really have NO IDEA where to put it. We will probably have to get them to take back the double bed in the spare room, but then Arkady has nowhere to sleep when she's over. Tch!

Ikea make a loft bed, but I don't know if Arkady would be comfortable in one! And it'd be a bastard to disassemble when we move.

If we can fit all the huuuuge manner of stuff in here that we can, I'm sure you can fit all manner of huuuuge stuff into your place. Ya just gotta pack stuff right. ;)

Honestly, this was something I learned within a couple of years of living in this place (and I thought I'd filled it when I moved in), when you have to, you just keep on finding space for stuff. Trust me! :)

I used a firm that specialised in shipping antiques between the US and UK. They handled everything at both sides as well. No idea of who does similar between UK and AUS. All you can do is call and ask.
