In that resurrection of the dead child gets me out of jail situation, she isn't delusional, by legal definition. I think that's what the article is referring to. She's 100% capable of making decisions and assisting in her defense, she's not clinically delusional, and therefore she can't use it as a defense, I don't see it as a statement of 'If it's religious, it's not delusional'.

Yes, there is a specific exclusion from DSM-IV in regards to delusion.. It says:

A false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everybody else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary. The belief is not one ordinarily accepted by other members of the person's culture or subculture.

Which of course generates some debate because the standard is that if lost of people believe in an delusion it ceases to be a delusion.
