Space opera in Scientology doctrine is now a Wikipedia Featured Article, thus eligible for the front page. Though it won't be front-paged until the CoS does something really deserving. Someone is also recording a spoken version tomorrow. Please link this article in every blog and news source you possibly can. Along with Xenu.

(This article was started, peer-reviewed and brought to featured status in approximately three weeks. Next likely candidates: Operating Thetan and Sea Org!)

This laptop is pissing me off. Can't wait for the Evo [livejournal.com profile] redcountess won me to arrive, particularly considering how well [livejournal.com profile] arkady's Thinkpad is running with Ubuntu.

Update: Oh dear.

Hmm, I parsed the link on that page as "Black Thetan Goats" and was all excitedly set to reach for the big vat o' wax. You disappoint me, sir.

I'm obviously missing something, but what's the point of writing a detailed article about incomprehensible bollocks?

Do you seriously expect any readers to make it beyond the first few paragraphs?

Sorry if my comment sounded confrontational; it wasn't intended to be... I'm genuinely curious as to who the readership will be...

Does anyone care that The Bubble Gum Incident was an important early incident "where you are hit with a motion and finally develop an obsession about motion". What does it mean?—it barely parses to me. And does anyone care what it means? I'm guessing if I read the entire article I might find out what it means, but since it's all nonsense anyway, why on earth would I want to?

I guess I'm just out of touch :-)

Naw, you're just smart. :o)

With the attention Scientology's been getting lately, there's no doubt a lot of people being pulled into it with their eyes only half open. There aren't a lot of resources that go into this kind of detail about how completely messed up the whole thing is and the stuff in that article isn't revealed to you until the "religion" already has a significant chunk of your money.

Well, if the claim that Xenu, the ruler of the Galactic Confederacy who brought billions of frozen people to Earth 75 million years ago, stacked them around volcanoes and blew them up with hydrogen bombs doesn't convince potential converts that it's all a load of bollocks, then I'm not sure I know what will...

You'd be surprised.....I've had some interesting and really scary conversations lately with folks in the metaphysics communities who are buying this shit. (I suppose they're predisposed, but come ON.)

Are encylopedias expected to be self consistent?

The article Diva is pimping references the article on nuclear weapons which claims that they were first used in 1945.

Perhaps I should edit this and correct it to say 75,000,000 B.C. :-)

I don't know you but...

Holy crap! That's the most detailed and coherent thing I've ever seen on $ci to date. Did you do that? If so, good job. Consider it spammed anywhere and everywhere. ;o)

Owwww... my head hurts. I've just spent the last three hours (thanks, mate) reading up on OT III, Xenu and other bad sci-fi. No, thanks, the only Hubbard in my house is Rob...
