My new old camera just arrived!! I am rather excited. It's a Casio Exilim EX-M2 — from the previous series to my previous EX-S20, with the same resolution, a much worse user interface and (the thing I'm really excited about) MP3 playback built in. Ubuntu also recognises it as an external drive without a hiccup. Here's the first shot I took with it, a picture of my new girlfriend tart:

The Guardian called me "Dave." Gah! Must be the London Dave Problem.

Pick your Leegnux for its purpose. Debian for an insanely stable server configuration (with current software installed by hand), Ubuntu for a shiny desktop with toys (and a "We KNOW where you're going today" experience if you don't like the defaults), Red Hat because your CTO foolishly thinks their support is worth shit, Gentoo when you're smoking crack, LFS when you're smoking crack you brewed yourself in your basement.

Off to a job interview now. Cross fingers! I think I'll be all smiles today ...

"We're raising our children here."

But they might learn about ungodly things, like dinosaurs, cause and effect, and critical reasoning.

Do you really want that?

They might also learn respect for other people instead of mindless bigotism.

I have few problems with it a deist theology (e.g., God started up the universe and went away to do something more important)....

The very idea of it being taught as a science is just infuriating..

Ever get the feeling we're in an alternate timeline where the Joh For PM campaign was successful?

Fedora for ...?

(it's our standardish developer desktop, although I'm pondering switching my machine on the grounds of it being increasingly flaky shite)

Ubuntu works lovely here as my desktop on my laptop and XP1800 machine. Though Debian still runs on my p/pro 'server', though I've managed to break stuff on it it seems... gah.

Otherwise, theres a copy of NetBSD for SParc running on an LX, and Solaris 9 will be on an SS20 soon as I can be bothered..
