My MP3 CAMERA stopped working last night. I was uploading a new selection of travel songs to it and it stopped responding. It won't power up at all and I have no idea why. Tonight I shall get at it with a screwdriver ... and hit eBay again, I fear. Meh. And boo. I am very upset!

[livejournal.com profile] arkady popped over last night to keep us company and help with the housework. This was much needed as [livejournal.com profile] redcountess and I were both spending the day lying down, doing nothing, staring into space and going "buh." I came somewhat undazed after a Thai green curry beef and rice from the local takeaway. (Woo, 374 Forest Road E17 5JF, phone 8520 8200; highly recommended, but very spicy.)

I am nearly over the cold — the smell of coffee didn't revolt me this morning — which is just as well as I am falling asleep here. More crack needed.

Currently looking 'l33t at work by fixing things that are obvious to fresh eyes. I'm sure the low-hanging fruit will run out soon enough ...

This week we put in Liz's permanent visa application. Fingers crossed!

i think that's your fault for having such a flashy device as an MP3 camera ;P

i've yet to see a mobile device with a nice interface, honestly. (not that i have all that much experience with them, you know, but..)

I've just seen an entry-level IT job that would be ideal for me, and I'm very seriously considering it. Here's hoping that this next spin of the wheel on Medication Roulette actually works....

My spiffygeekphone locked up last week - screen froze, none of the buttons would respond at all, wouldn't register that I'd plugged in the charger, nothin'. Happily, a short call on the land line to tech support showed me the secret 'use a paperclip' reboot, and all was better.

I'd bet you have some hard reboot trick like that, you just need to find it.

I hope I don't regret not getting the Dell extended warranty, but all my digital devices were new when I bought them, and I got the 3 year extended warranty on the eMac.

A word -- refurbished under warranty. (I'd forgotten about the Nikon Coolpix 3200). Apple's got stuff refurbished under the same warranty as new stuff. Apparently, so does Nikon (I was rather stunned when the package came).

Casio -- the Yacht broker has one of those. (I don't think they'd play mp3s, though).

You could get a red one.
