strangedave, doctor_k_, comrade_pete and pmcmurray (arkady and redcountess being there as well, of course), with lots of beer and Chinese takeaway. Here's to drunk sci fi geeks on Waggledance.
Tonight, Arkady and I are probably off to not-Dead And Buried in Holloway, N7 8GB (near Holloway Road or Haight-Ashbury tubes). Anyone else?
(I appear to have lost my PVC trousers. About the same time as I lost my Switch card [again]. I increasingly fear the likelihood of Liz's suggestion that the bag they were in may have been accidentally thrown out. Fuck!)
Arkady is doing very well indeed in her new position as a System Administrator (that's her job title, though I've suggested she get business cards saying "Mistress Arkady Rose, PFY"). Today she went in her Underworld coat, leather trousers, shiny riding boots and Digital Angel shirt. It'll be corsetry and the carriage whip within the month. She'll be running the company within a year. I am enormously proud of her.
Liz has been buying enormous quantities of plant life of late. Since getting the indefinite leave to remain, she has also had a lot more spoons, presumably from lowered stress. We've received the paperwork for the lease renewal, at the same rent, and will sign up for another year (with a six-month option). We're also doing some serious storage shopping, to help channel the house's inner Tardis.
There were doughnuts at work again. I had one and felt like it was too much sugar and lard.
