Baby baby don't blow away.
Oct. 30th, 2005 11:21 pmThis has been Domesticity Weekend. I was hoping to go out, but
redcountess has been having a bastard fibro flare, so I've been
spending time with her instead.
The kitty war is cooling down. Tom still hisses at the kitaens a bit, but I'm not surprised because they're right pains in the arse and are frazzling his nerves. Liz and I empathise thoroughly. Both kittens are going outside now. Neo is particularly well camouflaged for urban environments.
Some nine-fingered genius was letting off fireworks in the middle of the day on Saturday. There was a poem in the Metro which we found quite apposite:
Remember, remember, October, November
Gunpowder, treason and plot
And there is no reason
That gunpowder season
Should run thirty days on the trot.
Yesterday I took care of the sick Liz. Today I shoveled away some poisoned soil from the garden and caused copious other domestic wonders. I have put up halloween decorations for the forty-year-old seven-year-old I am married to, I have tidied the spare room to the point where you can see floor (and discovered yet more deposits of cat pee ... at least they stay away from the Flash), built a laundry basket and made lots of coffee. Liz hopes to lure actual trick-or-treaters tomorrow evening.
I am going stir-crazy and really, really need to go out somewhere with goths and beer and clove cigarettes. I might hit I Can't Believe It's Not M:Alice on Tuesday.

Aw, my poor grumpy old cat. I'm guessing he'll be very glad to have me home again in a week's time - as will you, perchance? :-*
