The London Fetish Fair scheduled for Sunday has been cancelled, apparently due to weird venue crapness. "As a courtesy Lark in the Park (N1 0JW) will be available to all, for FREE to have a rallying point for lunch and drinks. This will be available from 11 a.m. throughout the afternoon until 4 or 5 o'clock. People arriving at Bagleys will be redirected to there." Please pass this on to anyone you know who was planning to attend.

How annoying. But I'm remarkably cheerful because the leather waist clincher (the site says "clincher", not "cincher") I spotted at the last LFF arrived this morning. It looks gorgeous and I very much look forward to trying it on this evening.

Anyone else going to Dead'n'Buried tonight?

One of my mates runs an adult shop in Hull, mainly selling t-shirts to kids but they have a "back room" full of BDSM merchandise... they have all sorts of problems with legal stuff as it is often asserted that they are in breach of various laws. The annoying thing is that they probably are in breach of several puritanical laws that have long been forgotten about, but that doesn't stop people trotting them out every time they want to do something that some morally challenged arsehole wants to stop. Very annoying.

My point being that I'm never surprise when a scene event gets cancelled, especially if it's down to "unforseen problems with the venue" as this usually means that the venue has suddenly got the willes about hosting an "immoral event".

Torture Garden's Rubber Ball Special was held at Canvas. I doubt they had an attack of morals about the LFF.

fair dos. I've been out of the London scene for... err... ten years... so up-to-date knowledge is lacking and memories are somewhat sketchy now :)

Canvas used to be Bagleys - it's the same venue that the Sex Maniacs Ball (and then Night of the Senses) was held in for some years.

Was this the first LFF at the new venue?

Lovely piece of leather; I'd love to be locked into something like that. But wow... very expensive! Wow...!
