Perhaps these could get me into The Sun (courtesy Lee Ann).
I just collected my leather jacket from Future Designs. OH MY GOODNESS IT'S GORGEOUS. They have not only fixed all the tears and split seams, they have relined it with dark grey quilted satin — about a zillion percent improvement on the previous red check flannel, even when that wasn't in shreds. It's fourteen years old and looks new. This for only sixty quid. I am enormously pleased and highly recommend them if you have a jacket in need of relining. I also bought some leather gloves to replace the ones I lost at Motörhead.
(Mind you, the lining now has a Future Designs label sewn into it and proudly proclaims the jacket was made in Pakistan.)
Of course, the boots are still delayed, but the guy says he's trying his hardest to get them in ASAP. I believe him as he seems to like me throwing money at him.
New Rock are now making leather coats. Future Designs have two men's and one women's in. They are really fantastically cool-looking and are an eyewatering five hundred quid each. But you will certainly enjoy trying them on.
Tomorrow's date with
arkady is shifted to Saturday because of a dress
needing making and a not so well
redcountess. And/or whatever I can fit in
to see lots of her before she goes to Wales for two weeks.
