Aaand exhale. narnee has arrived safe and well and shaking from nicotine withdrawal. We repaired to the pub in Euston and proceeded to smoke like chimneys. She is looking wonderfully healthy and vital. She claims to have degothed herself, but all her friends are still goths ... We got home at 12:15am and I presented her with her Christmas present, a shiny new old Compaq Armada M300 PII-233 laptop with no battery or CD drive! She says she may be able to source a Compaq laptop drive and M300 battery, though if anyone reading has either of these things on hand in working order that would be most helpful. She is even more photogenic than she was before, so I have let her know that she will be paying her rent in five-megapixel pieces of her SOUL.

MY BOOTS HAVE ARRIVED! I fetch them from Camden today. redcountess was really, really hoping to get into Camden today, but if she can't find the spoons Sahra will measure her and get something for the ball. I have also lugged quiet000001's new boots with me and will be presenting her with them today.

I didn't know, but it's a half day at work today, finishing 12:30pm. After five hours' sleep, I was this close to calling in ill. Wish I had now — as an hourly contractor, I don't get a half day's pay free. Boooo! But this does give me time to try to get Liz's present ... lugging Kris' boots.

I should check how many people defriended me after I posted 4chan. I've almost got O RLY? ready to post; it's not quite as tasteless, but it will be when it's finished.
