We are in Whitby and it's lovely. [livejournal.com profile] redcountess is having remarkably high energy levels. Also, her hair is bright purple, which may be related. Thursday was the coldest night in ages here (-5°C) and it SNOW!!!ed. My new boots are truly marvellous, but not entirely compatible with icy pavements. The new camera has been getting a proper workout, as has the fast charger I bought yesterday. I got a new Roebuck shoulder bag from Pandemonium which is perfect — goes with everything and is small enough I actually have to think about what to put in it. We suspect the entire All About New Year's Eve event was at least slightly an excuse to get everyone to pay for Jo Hampshire's wedding reception, but it's still been marvellous and Hazel (Sexy Sunday) is still a star and wants to do one next year too. We are seriously considering the flat for sale in the Metropole. Missing [livejournal.com profile] arkady terribly. And the kitaens, lovely little shits they are, and ratties. Back Wednesday evening, with full writeups on each day and a Metric Shitload of photos (once I work out where to put them).

It was 42.9 here in Melbourne for NYE (which counts as "hot", even for me).
Happy New Year to you&Liz! :)

Bugger! How long are you in beautiful Whitby for and will you be visiting Pandemonium again? I bought a lush velvet cushion from there a couple of years ago and I want MORE! Any chance you can get back there and take some snapshots for me please? If not, no probs. Enjoy the snow and ambience and the energy and the new boots as they go slippy, slidy...wow! Are you being an adult kid, getting into the adventure and romance and new shinyness of everything? What a wonderful way to celebrate a new year, just wonderful.

I've finally got myself an LJ address: http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=wheresandals

And if you'e up for snaps of my new country, check this out: http://pamplemousse.fotopic.net/

Though it's mostly the country, there are a couple of shots of cute kitties I saw in Nelson, where I suspect the requirement for becoming a tenant is 'must have cat.'

Oh, been looking high and low for Nikki J's details. Do you have them/know where I can get them? Would love to catch-up with her.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, tall guy. Hugs to you!

Sarah Nic

Maybe the sea air agrees with her?

Glad you're enjoying yourselves.

If they run it next year, me and Paul may try ot make it... if money permits etc...

Glad to hear Liz is well and the seaside is fun!

I must admit, I was hurtling toward attending the AANYE thing until i heard about the wedding reception link and decided to just go to the WDS event this month instead.
