It's a quiet weekend in. I'm fine as long as I don't try anything like moving fast. I slept in the spare room last night and got the best night's sleep I've had in a week.
redcountess is coming down with what I had (not the asthma, thankfully), so
arkady will still be here a while looking after us both. (Not that I'm lovin' it.) Today she has attacked the bedroom from top to bottom, spotting that the curtains are probably the main dust culprits. They've been sent off for drycleaning. The air in the room was immediately better.
I'm still stalking cheap laptops. I just scored an internal wifi card (I've nearly bent external wifi cards far too many times) real cheap. I hereby declare Safari the worst possible eBaying browser, given its fondness for spinning beachballs of death and that I won that one only by bidding at four seconds. (It's not sniping if you do it honestly by hand.)
Having officially taken a few days off Wikipedia politics, I've been chilling out on Uncyclopedia instead. Wherein I find an article I'm unfortunately close to. Oh dear. Fever delirium is actually a useful state of mind there — you become one with Uncyclopedia and then the only problem is how to write it down when you come back.

I think I'm hanging too much with goths, or summat....
Hope Liz gets better soon -and you too, of 'cors.
Safari doesn't beach ball much here... not any more than Firefox, anyway...

Date: 2006-03-04 11:13 pm (UTC)Now, I'd be inclined to blame Safari, but I have watched eBay modify perfectly functional code seemingly to break compatibility with Safari - witness the Java image handlers that hid images from Mac users, even with fully up to date Java components.
Either way; it's not just you, but I don't get them all the time. I've yet to figure out a common situation for them.
