Who on earth is Alyssa Wozniak?

I've just been clearing my spam. Quite a lot of it includes the name "Alyssa Wozniak" in the subject or early in the text. While this is very helpful to Bayesian spam filters (I'll probably need to check my spamtrap for replies to this post), it leaves me wondering who the heck she is or was. Google is no help.

Why "Alyssa Wozniak"? Who is she? What did she do to the spammers? How's your spamtrap for Alyssa Wozniak goodness?

She was an utter, complete and total bitch.

My mail server bounces a hell of alot of mail for anton@greap.net, I dont even know anyone called anton.

Any other first names? firstname@anydomain used to be a common way of generating prospective addresses, and was particularly effective for spamming Hotmail accounts that had had no exposure whatsoever.

That is what is odd about it, very occasionaly a get more but anton@greap.net seems to average ~20 messages a day. Very odd indeed.

Odds are it was just made up. I get a bunch of spam and sometimes the from names look real, other times they're obvious fakes. And that's just what makes it through the screens for me to notice.

No, no. This isn't the infinitely varying "Tedious Q. Mincemeat"-style From: line. This is a single name that keeps showing up over and over. Clearly it's in the software, but why?

That would be the ones that come up as being from [%FROM_NAME%]. Somehow I don't think the writers of spam software get their algorithms from Knuth.

I'm still getting loads of spam with Rita Frollo in. I must have had at least 40-50 spams with her in. And yet this journal page is the only google hit (using the double quotes for exact phrase match, that is).

Actually I think she's a $cientologist. I used to get Co$ spam from her until Gmail started recognising it as spam. I think she's one of the Californian Co$ PR clams.
