Today we opened a bank account for the organisation that will be trading as Wikimedia UK. I got there an hour late (owing to a picturesque unwellness that can't even be blamed on drinking) and bought coffees for all at Starbucks. We continued the meeting at the Bierodrome in Upper Street, cabaling furiously.
jdforrester has dibs on the Exilim EX-S600 (shiny shiny shiiiny toy), though I will still be taking it out tomorrow if we go to the picnic and/or pub. He also forced a Logitech A-0205A USB headset on me for the express purpose of Skype. Thankfully I haven't got the headset to work yet, although Leegnux does recognise its existence and function. I did discover how to get sound working on my laptop again ... turn the master volume up from 0.
vampwillow wants an Insanely Thin camera — she said my Ixus 50 was way too fat, being a whole 21mm thick — so I'll run the EX-S1 (1.3MP, 11mm) or EX-S2 (2MP, 11mm) past her tomorrow. I also stalked and captured an Ixus 400 for
roxy_lou and am still tracking something suitable for
eyeliner297. The rest of you: S100, Ixus 400×2, Ixus 430 still available.
Tonight may be Antilight (with Ixus 400), depending on
redcountess' health — she's having a really crappy day. Picnic tomorrow will also depend on this.

Date: 2006-05-21 01:20 pm (UTC)I'll see if Liz hasn't forced me to eBay the lot at gunpoint by then ;-) OTOH, if these particular ones go then there will be more along later. There's a lot of 400 and 430 showing up on eBay of late.
If it's for your trip, I suspect an Ixus 40 or 50 would actually be a better choice, but they do cost more. And I think the images from a 400 are better, even if it can be a bit slow at times (not quite painfully, but certainly annoyingly).
