Pictures from Sunday:

Of course, the one thing a digital snapshot camera does perfectly is sunlit daylight shots. Most of mine are ISO 50, cloudy white balance. Some with front-fill flash (shadow on a sunny day can be a bit high contrast). Point, frame and shoot. [livejournal.com profile] arkady used the Ixus 400 and (when that was full) the Ixus i about the same. You can't tell which of her shots are with the 400 are which are with the i without looking at the EXIF.

The Sunday night shots at the Dev are another matter — even a seasoned lover to the camera like Andi was somewhat surprised at the number of shots I was taking, but it was low-light experimentation night so almost all will be trashed as irretrievable. What did work should be of interest, however. The video of Andi dancing in her chair should be perfect for a really good mjpegtools tryout.

Hey, camera geek! I'm about to buy a decent little carry-everywhere pocket camera. I looked at the SD450 which is probably called something else on your side of the pond (it's the 5MP Ixus), but Sony's DSC-W50 seems to have comparable features and is a good chunk cheaper (and on sale). Any experience with the little Sonys?

Heehee... Ashbet is _so_ cute! I'd have taken lots of pics of her, too. The hair, the curves, the darling little grin with those sparkly eyes and cute little dimples... too cute!

And the little dolls are lovely too. Such pretty gothic-looking little things... I can enjoy pictures, even if I couldn't handle having one in the house. ;)

My actual god. I think my eyes just fell out of my head. Whose doll is Benedict?! I've never seen him before, he's gorgeous.

I really wish I'd been there. I'm sad to miss the chance to meet some of those dolls, I've been admiring them from over here for quite a while.

You look so cute in a skirt, though.
