Yep, it's two or three stops further out than Romford. Possibly-decent routes would be Walt'w->LLS->Brentwood (ona Shenfield-bound train) or Walt'w->Forest Gate->Brentwood (I think it's Forest Gate, at least, where the Other Train goes). There's also, IIRC, a bus from your neck of the woods to mine, but it's probably horribly slow, because it doesn't, as such, come up as a suggestion when asking TfL"how do I get from A to B" .
