  • www.reddragdiva.co.uk works (with some pics missing), though reddragdiva.co.uk (no "www") doesn't. The server is fucked up beyond repair and will be rebuilt yet again in a day or two. Triple vodka to [livejournal.com profile] hawkeviper.

  • Arkady and I have been dead agented by the Scientologists, and they've even mixed in slander against [livejournal.com profile] cadfael. What I want to know is how he pissed them off, which would mean I owe him a *pint* I was previously unaware of.

Sunday, [livejournal.com profile] arkady played out for the first time with her Morris side at the Havering Show in Hornchurch. (They call her "Rose" because it's simpler than "Arkady." But there's already a "Rose" so she'll be "Black Rose.") I went for moral support and documentation. We rushed to get there by ten, in time to wait around for two hours. Their first set started 11:50am and went fifty minutes, their second at 2:30pm for thirty minutes. She coped admirably with being brought on for the stick-throwing dance she'd never actually done before, let alone at a performance. But she's coordinated, can dance and can play an instrument, so she's ahead of 90% of Morris dancers already. (Like being a rock guitarist who knows a third chord.)

Local fairs make my skin crawl, but I could tolerate it for her first show. Beer tent had IPA. I bought raffle tickets for a hideously-coloured Peugeot 304 convertible. The Owl Rescue Society stall was pretty cool.

I failed to sunscreen. I saw my burnt face in the mirror and went "My God, I look English." How embarrassment!

Arkady stitching her waistcoat at the last second; Pete, the squire; Bovril, the mascot.

The Stick Chucking Dance!

The musicians; In Case Of Morrising; the weather they were up against; hankies.

Rescue owls!

What does it say about me that when I read the comment that you were a "speed user", I wondered whether Speed was a new MS program or Macintosh?

Man - Scientology porn has to be a whole world of possibilities! Everyone knows forbidden fruit is the most tempting, right? So out-2d sex with suppressive kitty girls has to be what all these clams secretly crave!

What the HELL is a 2-D, anyway? I mean, I'm assuming it means "Significant Other," but what's the etymology?

Also . . . HAHAHAHAH, you notorious degenerate speed-user, you!

Uhmm. Way to depersonalize your partner, there X_x

>>>It also incidentally includes sex as a mechanism to compel future survival.

Nice that they included that -- gods forbid that we consider sex for any other reason! ;P

What a strange accusation to make, given the drug use of their founder.

LRH Jr. was, unfortunately, not a reliable source.

That was fairly evident from the article, but given the author's rather tortured and voluminous writings I suspect there is more than a grain of truth to the claims.

Corroboration. Apparently Jim Dincalci, Hubbard's medical officer, also claims that Hubbard was a heavy user amphetamines.

What a horrific website :) You always know you're onto a winner when the "Skip Flash" link is part of the Flash.

I was always scared of Morris Dancers when I grew up. Clack! Clack!
