Friday was the wedding of flickgc and Hugo Award winner drplokta, and we missed it because of the house move. Buggeration.

Our phone was switched off, but the DSL still works for some reason. Today I collected the keys to the new house, hired a cute little Vauxhall V1 van and drove one load of stuff over with arkady. redcountess and I also went for a nice drive.ruthi and oscarhocklee came over and helped us pack and disassemble stuff. The cats are now at the new place with Arkady.

Parking around here is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE.

I'm going to sleep the sleep of the bruised and battered. Then get up at 8am and DO IT ALL AGAIN!

We'll need volunteers Sunday to help with unpacking stuff but mostly to help with cleaning the old house — we couldn't book the landlord's preferred cleaner so have to do as much of it as we can. We also want unpacking help Saturday.

Oh dsl and phone line switch offs are different. If you get your phone line cut off it takes at least a week to lose your dsl..
