No-one grabbed the Pratchett tickets. Ah well. Friday I go to Dreadnought — anyone else coming? Saturday is a wedding.

Neil Gaiman on Monday was good fun. BOFHbof on Tuesday was damn fine — but never drink Talk Like A Pirate, it's weak pish. Thursday I bought a new Mac keyboard and Liz's G4 is back in action. We have a washer-dryer and I most strongly suggest you pay the bucks for installation as well as delivery, because it was pounding bat sodomy getting the bastard up and running. We got it Monday and are finally drying the first actual load of clothes as I write this.

I have not read LiveJournal since Sunday night. (I haven't even read [livejournal.com profile] redcountess or [livejournal.com profile] arkady's.) If there's anything I should have seen, please let me know (or remind me to check your journal).

Update: Dreadnought not a happener, I fear! There is just WAY too much to do at home. Sigh. Next time!

Without doubt. Was hoping you'd be there more as big, manly moral support than as Victorian debutante ball introduction expert. :)

Next time, eh?

If I could of afforded the travel down and all the rest of it I'd of taken one of the tickets, but alas.

Nothing of major significance has appeared in my journal really, other than my getting my first wages for nearly 5 years since hurting my back, which is all good progress in the 'get back to work and get rid of debts' plan :)

I shall be drunk in another gutter. Good to see you == Yuki at discon, though.

If I win the bids, I'm going to see if my bank can actually issue me a check for the person in Great British Pounds, which would be less hassle than seeing if someone there could take my Paypal money and turn it into a GBP check. Looks like my bank can do this for me at 2% of the amount converted or something like that.

Hopefully, I won't win the auctions since I've found a place that has the goods in California for reasonable prices.

One place has had peculiarly recently enrolled people bidding against me for things that only someone with a $10 food processor that's twenty years old could possibly want. I graciously let them have the items.

eBay is a real time sink.

I'm thinking of going to Dreadnought - it will be my first time!

Am trying to find out details etc - what time are people getting there (roughly).

Is it more trad goth than bmovie?

Ow!

I'd get the concession (got an nus card) but would probably have enough for 1 drink after that.

I dunno - I'll think about it :)

I wondered whether pay-to-piss was still in operation..

Bah! I guess I'm spending a quiet night in with the laptop, and debian hdd boot images, and copious swearing ;)

I want to go to Dreadnought to see [livejournal.com profile] miss_glitch DJ, but there's no way I can afford it and even if I could I don't think I'm up to large crowds. :(

There will be something you should see on my journal in the next couple of hours.

I didn't even think about that. A crowded room full of goths has less attraction and is more likely to cause utter panic. Which I've had enough of today already, really.

Even with being bought drinks. (And awww, cheers. :) )

The post is up now!
