I am having my first ever day off ill in this job, having caught redcountess' cold. eyeliner297 has come over and is being utterly wonderful in taking care of us and running errands and showing off her extremely shiny new laptop.

We hope to leave for Wales on Sunday, though it may be Monday. Funeral is Wednesday. We'll set out for Whitby on Thursday, probably stopping back in London before going on to Whitby, as it seems that's actually faster than the direct-looking diagonal route from Wales to Whitby.

Do we need to go put Eric Allman in protective custody? I mean, I've broken bread with Kirk (and Eric... and really it was more like "had lunch during a LISA conference because I actually knew Philadelphia"), and he didn't strike me as the violent type, but, hey, "they look just like the rest of us"...
