Pounding bats successfully sodomised. I have paid the rent (after the direct debit didn't) and fetched the hire car, a very nice Focus Ghia with 2 litre diesel (for the hills of south Wales and north Yorkshire), CD player and electric bloody everything. The sort of car that falls apart next year, but is lovely this one. Currently selecting music to burn onto semidisposable CD-Rs for the journey.

I took yesterday off work as well, otherwise I'd still be half ill. We'll be going to Wales on Monday afternoon. Then to Whitby on Thursday. ETA Thursday evening. Today and tomorrow we pack for both.

I fully expect to need a holiday after this holiday.

The pregnancy is progressing as expected. I am enormously, ridiculously smug. Missing Arkady lots. Liz is pretty darned fine, though, as is the visiting Abi.

At some point you are going to have to expand upon this at length. I really want to hear the male perspective but when I ask Fratboy about it he tends to grab my bits and grunt possessively. Not very enlightening. :p
