I'm not going on-call this weekend (Friday 10th) but next weekend (Friday 17th). Which (a) shouldn't interfere terribly with vague housewarming plans for Saturday 18th (though the house being a goddamn pit and in no fit condition to receive visitors might) and (b) means

I shall be at B-Movie on Friday!

Trust me to attempt to make a snarky comment and break my HTML in the process.
[sigh]

We shall see you at B movie, and it does look like our housewarming plans could be in conflict ...

It's for occasions like this that Zap Cheap Effects from Jesse Ruderman's useful collection of Bookmarklets comes in very handy...

And not just a marquee, but you also set the background and not the foreground, which is a great way to make something ugly and almost unreadable with my LJ color scheme. With those two and the content, it's like a trifecta of bad taste or something.

So... is this your way of telling us you've become infected with New Media Brain Worms and need to be put out of your/our misery? (-:

Damn - what am I supposed to do now...

I wonder what the chances are of going to bmovie, *and* doing my presentation on linux multimedia to students the next afternoon.

Am I that weak that I can't make both? I dunno.

For real web hell c. 1995 you need marquee, blink and lots of frames with scroll bars serving no apparent purpose.
