I have no idea, but it amused me for minutes. And writing this made my eyes bleed so I don't see why anyone else should escape.

It seems to be, yes. Unless what's being tested is language, they'll mark according to whether they can make out that the student understands the subject . . . so roughly in line with standard practice, then.

This makes me mad. The whole thing about English (in Australia at least) is that to graduate highschool you have to have a rudimentary idea of what kind of language is suited to different situations. Txt in exams is not!!

I'm trying to bite my tongue as much as I can...
