My cold is slowly going away. Work is ridiculously quiet but I still have to show up next week. I'm wearing two shirts because the ... air conditioning ... is ... still ... on. The bins were frozen shut yesterday and today.

arkady is off to Wales on Friday and redcountess and eyeliner297 are off to see Iron Maiden on Friday evening. What's up in the big world on Friday evening? Anything worth going to? What are you doing on the weekend?

Is there not even a thermostat you can turn to 24C? (I'm assuming the system isn't actually a combined heating and cooling one, but give it insufficient work, and it might not bother cooling.)

Normally the temperature would be fine, but getting over the cold it's another matter ...

I wish our air con was still in "cooling" mode, but it's broken. The office is too hot.
But then I work in a computer-filled sardine can.

I have not seen them in years. Literally, about 26 or 27 years. Are their shows just as brilliant as they were years ago? Could you ask for me, please?
