In 2006: Most of my money went on drink and moving house. I got a job I can actually see myself staying in.

I didn't manage to leave the country, though I did make it to Whitby twice. I got REALLY EXCITED about October Whitby, only to spend the whole thing ill. Bah! The best thing I bought was a pile of nice cameras — in particular the Ixus 50 I carry with me everywhere and the Ixus i which is old and slow but is SO TINY and takes really nice pictures. And the Ixus 400 that Arkady has claimed. But I really want an Ixus 850 IS. I think I needed more partying this year, and definitely more partying next year before May when my life becomes poo and screaming with added poo. No one-night stands, I'll have to work on that one. Also more cock.

I shacked up with both my darlings in February (the wife asked the girlfriend to move in; I win at polyamorous diplomacy) and got one of them pregnant in August, it would be. My domestic life is utterly marvellous and I am in fact the luckiest man in the world; you only think you are. I'll be spending Christmas with Liz, and tomorrow is a Solstice dinner with Liz and Arkady before Arkady goes to Wales.

I think I enjoyed this year a lot more than many people I know. I don't make New Year's resolutions, but I'm mulling over 101 things to do in 1001 days.
