Wikipedians In The Pub: Montagu Pyke Wetherspoons, Charing Cross Road, tonight, 5:30pm on.

jdforrester and I were going down the pub tonight, then there just happened to be several other Wikipedians in town, and then we told the mailing lists ... so there'll be a bunch of encyclopedia nerds at the Montagu Pyke, 105–107 Charing Cross Rd (corner Greek St), WC2H 0BP. Tubes: Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road, Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross. It's right in the centre of London, everything is near everything. People plan to be there from 17:30 or thereabouts, I'll be getting there sevenish after work.

Apologies for the short notice — I hadn't picked a pub by yesterday, so James picked one out of thin air.

Jimmy Wales happens to be in town next weekend, so we'll be having another one %-D No venue yet, if this one doesn't suck it'll be the hot prospect.

The New Year party was quite marvellous, thank you. Continuing in this fashion as long as I can find the time is a very appealing idea.

Update: I had a certain trepidation today when I made an edit that instantly changed every single page on the wiki that accounts for over half our page hits ... particularly when I made an HTML error.

I should like to make it along to the one next week; Jimbo is usually good company. :-) And having gotten back into editing WP again, I figure it's as good a way as any (barring listening to you rant anyway!) to get up to date on current wikipolitics and climate.

And we can chat more about the other when I get back home. ;-)

So I noticed. Hmm. Perhaps Lysande needs to return Perseus' body so Perseus can be in another photoshoot? After all, if it's picture quality they're worried about.... ;-)

More seriously, I think [[Ball-jointed doll]] needs a gallery of various models and companies of dolls, and that you should create a Commons login of your own and get uploading any pictures you've taken of anything whatsoever whose article hasn't got an illustration ;-)

As I've mentioned before, I do have a Commons login. I just don't use it. And I've had rather a lot of stuff to deal with recently that was rather more important than taking photos for Commons!
