I'm still writing much more than I'm reading and am currently at skip=800 on the friends list. Please comment with important things you may have expected me to notice.

(It's like the early nineties, when people used computers to make things on rather than as complicated televisions.)

This morning:

Me: How's Freda?
Arkady: She's awake and fine.
Me: (blows raspberry on Arkady's belly)
Arkady: Oy!
Me: (aggrieved expression) I am playing with my daughter.

Last night I went to the Dove in Hammersmith, right on the water, with [livejournal.com profile] webcowgirl and [livejournal.com profile] shadowdaddy. Hell to get to, but a lovely pub and a lovely evening. I think I woke up dead.

I am on call from Friday evening and hence trapped at home in the evenings until the following Friday morning. I expect visitors please! I'll even be able to meet people for lunches and stuff.

Arthur used to do that and Evie would kick him back in the face. She just sticks with pulling his hair now!

If I learnt one thing from A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child it is that pre-natal children always sleep. And dream.

I won't speculate beyond that - I mean, what are the chances that they're infesteded by the spirit of a lynched child molestor inhabited by ancient Babylonian dream demons?

The Dove is a lovely pub-that's the pub James and I were in when he asked me out. We went back a few times. There's often Shipmeets in there. I have many fond memories of that pub. The food's not bad, either. Heh-you should take me back sometime [grin]

If I find myself capable of leaving the house at any point next week, I shall come and see you all. And there's probably time for lunch at some point, too! [mwah]

From Christmas on....

My niece visited; Vuescan was broken on negative b&w scans but is now fixed; school started; my bathroom passed inspection; the inspector didn't notice non-licensed work done on the kitchen sink; I made $29K last year not counting the novel money, but still don't plan to give money to people who want to be supported as fans raconteurs and button makers; M was over for dinner Tuesday night.

Pictures of my niece and me in my Folks gallery:

Nothing has happened to me....

Faaaaark...

Not a damn thing.

Maybe I should cut back on my fun, fun trips to Preston Market.

Er... We got a kitten. I had a dream this morning that I was flying into space in a lego spaceship.

Yup, that's all I got...

If you want to meet up this week (Wednesday is my best day) do say. SMS is the best way of getting hold of me.
