Let's see what the night has to offer me!
Sep. 6th, 2002 02:50 pmOff to the Dev this evening - it's Alli's last weekend on the bar before doing Europe and returning to Australia. Any of you want to come along? I expect to get there around 6-6:30pm. You can see me in a suit.
Work is fatally quiet. Free lunch off the boss at the local Wagamama, which is enough to make any day a good day. Having trouble getting a decent chair out of them, though - some ruckus will have to be raised, I fear. (Though, of course, I would never imply that a certain purchasing person will be discovering what it's like to be wearing the red shirt in the BOFH stories. That would be terribly unprofessional. Probably.)
Prospective new PC: 150 quid for a Compaq Deskpro PIII-866, 128MB memory, Ethernet, 17" monitor. (Ex-work, and in fact the same thing I am writing this on.) Does this sound like a deal? I have no idea of UK going rates on last year's model.

a) e-bay
b) Morgan Computers (http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk/)

Date: 2002-09-07 11:01 pm (UTC)Noticed today that iJournal (LJ client for OS X) adds itself as a system service, so you can post whatever random text you've highlighted in whatever application you like.
And of course it integrates with iTunes nicely. Which is, as we all know, the most important thing.
