vatine came over today to pit his l33t Swedish sk1llz against our Ikea and assemble arkady's psychotic bastard of a bed. We couldn't find the leaflet, but there's a copy on the Swedish Ikea site, which Arkady has loaded on her laptop for Ingvar to refer to ... More helpers are due (and welcomed) tomorrow — I believe a vampwillow and an alexmc are tentatively scheduled. Anyone else?

Today's first laff awarded to the psychotic Ikea bed.

Oh, it truly is - the bolts Ikea provide are too short, so vatine drilled a couple of holes in the footboard and put in longer bolts. It also has the very special Ikea struts system (which is still an improvement on the older style of struts like I have on my old bed which is still at my Mum's in Melbin :)
